Now that's what I call glory (volume 1)

When I started this blog I didn't expect my first post of the new season to be about us sitting proudly at the top of the league, it doesn't get much more glorious for a Well fan, after one game or thirty eight, top is top.

Here we are though, looking down on the old firm and sleeping giants like Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs and St. Mirren.

I must admit it's a pretty good feeling and I'm almost tempted to go to Rugby Park tomorrow for a large slice of glory hunting cake. Almost tempted . . .  but I've had a better offer of a piss up in Glasgow with The Boyz to wet a newborn's head, so in true glory hunting style I'll be glued to Sky Sports News (or any other sports result show available) all afternoon hoping my team can win again and stay top of the league for at least another, 10 months.

To be honest I'll be happy with another 10 days. Why think small? The league is ours to throw away at this stage, so I'm going to make the most of it while we're there and really milk it.

I'll need to get a Thundermonkey T-shirt of some kind to mark this historic occasion. Perhaps something with "We're top of the League" then on the back a list of the also rans with a " and you're no" . In Claret and Amber obviously.

The payback at work and from my heathen non Motherwell supporting mates will be all the tighter but that's all part of the fun, I dish it out, so I'll need to take it.

For now though there's still plenty for me to dish out.

Did I mention Motherwell are top of the league?
